Terry Paul Bottinelli
Terry Bottinelli has had experience in several
careers, all of which benefit his clients. He is fluent in Spanish
and has an understanding of the Hispanic culture—the fastest growing
employee population in small-to medium-size companies. His knowledge
of Municipal Law was obtained not only through his service as an
elected municipal official, but also through his experience as
attorney for various governmental entities and boards. As a civil
litigator, he has a proven track record and has been Certified as a
Civil Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court since 1993.
Mr. Bottinelli’s area of concentration is the
litigation of substantial Tort, Employment and Commercial matters
and representation of governmental entities. His practice also
includes applicant and board representation in zoning applications,
Prerogative Writ and administrative hearings. Terry has tried or
resolved complex cases in both federal and state courts, in
proceedings before administrative bodies and in private
arbitrations.
Mr. Bottinelli is admitted to practice before the
United States Supreme Court, New Jersey District Court, Third
Circuit Court of Appeals, United States Tax Court and all levels of
State courts in both New Jersey and Florida. He has served as
President of the Bergen County Bar Association, was a member of the
Board of Governors of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America -
New Jersey, and has been appointed by the Supreme Court of New
Jersey as a Special Ethics Master and Chairman of the District IIB
Ethics and Fee Arbitration Committees as well various Supreme Court
Committees. He is listed on the Court Approved Roster of Arbitrators
and Mediators for the New Jersey Superior Court. He has been
appointed as Special Master, Boundary Dispute Commissioner and
Condemnation Commissioner in various Superior Court matters and sits
as Judge of the Municipal Courts of Cresskill and Closter and is
Legal Counsel to the Borough of Alpine and Township of Mahwah.
A former Council President of the Borough of
Dumont, Mr. Bottinelli continues to be involved in various pro bono
publico programs. He has served as a member of the Board of
Directors of the Wyckoff Community School and Wyckoff Lacrosse
Boosters and volunteer coach in the Wyckoff Football Program.
Mr. Bottinelli’s legal education was obtained at
Western
New England College School of Law and Rutgers-Newark School
of Law. He holds a Bachelor of Arts as well as a Master of Arts in
Spanish/Education from Fairfield University and studied at the
University of Madrid.
