Andrew J. Cevasco
Andrew J. Cevasco has established himself as an
experienced and successful personal and business advisor. He
provides a broad range of services to the firm’s commercial clients,
including business planning, business formation and dissolutions,
employment and contract issues and real estate matters. He is
particularly knowledgeable in the areas of estate planning and
taxation, probate litigation, and the administration of estates and
trusts. He advises clients with regard to tax planning and elder law
issues and lectures in the area of estate planning. When the need
arises, he has handled various types of civil litigation on both the
Trial and Appellate levels. Mr. Cevasco is also a trained mediator,
listed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey on its roster of
mediators.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Cevasco
spent a valuable year as legal secretary to Justice Robert L.
Clifford of the New Jersey Supreme Court, gaining hands-on
experience with the legal process from the vantage point of our
State’s highest Court.
To all of his cases, Mr. Cevasco brings the
additional dimension of holding a Master of Taxation. He is admitted
to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third
Circuit and the United States District Court for the District of New
Jersey. He is a Trustee of the Bergen County Bar Association, a
member of the Greater New Jersey Estate Planning Counsel, and a
member of the American, New Jersey State and Bergen County Bar
Associations. He also has served on the District Ethics Committee
for Bergen County, pursuant to appointment by the New Jersey Supreme
Court.
Mr. Cevasco received his J.D. and LL.M. in
Taxation from New York University School of Law. He received his
B.S. summa cum laude from Fordham University and was selected for
the Phi Beta Kappa honors fraternity.
