Carolyn B. Hand
Carolyn Hand began her legal career working as a
legal assistant for a major corporation. As a result of this
experience, she became interested in pursuing her law degree. After
graduating from law school, Ms. Hand served as law clerk to the
Honorable Donald J. Volkert, then Presiding Judge, Family Part,
Essex County Superior Court. Subsequently, she gained experience in
a variety of practice areas, which included her involvement in the
defense of nationwide mass tort product liability litigation.
Currently, she serves Herten Burstein in the area of commercial
litigation.
Ms. Hand is a 1995 graduate of Loyola College,
where she was a member of both the English and Sociology Honor
Societies. She received her J.D. from Seton Hall Law School in 2001.
While at Seton Hall, she was honored with awards for Appellate
Advocacy and was a semi-finalist in the Moot Court Competition. She
also participated in a study abroad program in Cairo, Egypt.
Carolyn Hand is a member of the Bergen County,
Morris County, New Jersey State, and New York State Bar
Associations.
