Scott D. Jacobson is an AV-rated business litigator. He has represented corporations, partnerships and entrepreneurs in a wide range of commercial disputes. Early analysis and a complete understanding of the specific business opportunity has enabled him to solve problems in a manner that fits the client's business. He has the tenacity, creativity and skill necessary to fight the toughest battles throughout the pretrial, trial and appellate stages of litigation. However, he never loses focus on the overriding goal of any client—to reach the best solution in the most expeditious manner.

While Mr. Jacobson is a skilled litigator, he employs a variety of alternative dispute resolution techniques in his practice. He knows when to negotiate and when to litigate.

Mr. Jacobson has a depth of experience in the complex laws governing the workplace and has litigated matters involving employment, non-competition and non-disclosure agreements. He has also effectively represented lenders, developers and brokers in a wide range of real estate-related disputes. Mr. Jacobson makes full use of his legal skills representing financial institutions, business enterprises and individuals in breach of contract, fraud, unfair business practice, and probate matters.

Mr. Jacobson was graduated summa cum laude from the University of Rhode Island in 1977. He achieved a place on the Dean's List and won the Senior Prize in Political Science. He received his law degree in 1980 from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where he was a member of the Honor Council.

A member of the American and New Jersey Bar Associations, Mr. Jacobson participates in the Litigation and Employment Sections of both. He has served on the Morris School District Board of Education, and coaches youth soccer and baseball teams.
