Eimi S. Thompson began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Philip H. Mizzone, Jr., J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Part, Passaic County. Thereafter she began concentrating her practice in estate planning where she has drafted sophisticated estate planning instruments to preserve family wealth and minimize tax consequences. At Herten Burstein, Ms. Thompson continues to concentrate in the estate planning field where she drafts complex estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, and advance medical directives. In addition, Ms. Thompson has experience working with closely held family businesses as they relate to maintaining family assets.

Ms. Thompson is a 2002 graduate of The College of New Jersey, where she earned a B.S. degree in international business. She received her J.D. from Pace University School of Law in 2005. She is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the New Jersey Superior Court, and the New York Supreme Court.
